Sporle return to the top of Division 2

The Division 1 leaders Feltwell Utd. beat bottom team Narborough 2-0 to maintain their 4 point lead at the top of the table. 2nd placed Dereham Town A won 3-1 at Gressenhall and are on the same number of points as Morley Village who ran out 2-1 winners at Shipdham. Defending League champions Bridgham Utd. were well and truly beaten 10-3 at Swaffham Town A while Shropham Utd. picked up three valuable points with a 3-0 win at Rockland Utd. The other match between Northwold S&SC and Tacolneston ended as a 2-2 draw.

Sporle are back on top of Division 2 by virtue of more goals scored after their 5-1 home defeat of Gressenhall Res. The next three teams were all engaged in the Primary League Cup and Necton in 5th place surrendered a 3-1 lead to go down 5-3 to Saham Toney Res. Nostro are up to 6th after their 6-2 home win over Breckland Wanderers. Methwold Rovers beat Hethersett Athletic 5-1 and West End move above Cockers after beating them 8-4.

The top two in Division 3 and Scarning Utd. came out on top, beating Mulbarton Wanderers Res.  by the odd goal of five to go back to the top spot. Bawdeswell are up to 2nd after beating Stoke Ferry 2-1, Rampant Horse are up to 4th following their 3-1 win at Splitz Utd. and Marham Wanderers move above Mattishall A into 5th place after beating them 3-2. Wendling won 5-2 at Great Cressingham, Rockland Utd. Res. deprived Narborough Res. of their first win, edging them out 5-4 and Tugas Utd. inflicted a 5-1 home defeat on Hingham Athletic Res.

Watton Utd. A are the new leaders in Division 4 after beating Castle Acre Swifts Res. 6-0 while former leaders Yaxham Res. were without a game and thereby slip to 2nd on goal difference. Litcham move above North Elmham Res. into 3rd spot after beating them 4-1 and Shropham Utd. Res. remain 5th after their 2-1 home win over Tacolneston Res. Nostro Res. are up to 6th after beating bottom team Methwold Utd. 7-0 having moved above Walsingham Utd. who went down to a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Beetley Utd. Methwold Rovers Res. won 3-1 at Dereham Cockers Utd. while Weasenham Wanderers netted five without reply from Shipdham Res.

The Final of the Chequered Flag Primary League Cup will be between the holders Castle Acre Swifts and Yaxham. Castle Acre Swifts proved too strong for North Elmham, running out 6-1 winners while Yaxham’s superior finishing was enough to edge them home 4-2 against a spirited Thurton & Ashby team in a game well refereed by Martin Passmore.
