How the League is managed

League Management

The League is managed by a team of four Officers together with eight other members of the Management Committee. The Committee meets on a regular basis and is supported by four Sub-Committees, namely, Emergency, Honoraria and Administration, Rules Compliance and Sponsorship.

The League's Officers are:

President & Chairman:

Hector Chambers. Hector has served the League as a member of the Management Committee for over 50 years, having been first elected in 1957. He became Chairman in 1972 and was elected as President in 1993. He is a Life Member of the League.

Deputy Chairman:

Dick Davey. Dick has been a member of the Management Committee since 1980 and became Deputy Chairman in 1996. He is a Life Member of the League.

Secretary:

John Turner. John has been a member of the Management Committee since 1972 and was elected as Hon. Secretary and Treasurer in 1977. He is a Life Member of the League.

Deputy Secretary:

Mick Utting. Mick has been a member of the Management Committee since 1988 having been elected as Deputy Secretary at the AGM in June that year.
